Laura Vossberg was born in Eau Claire, Wisconsin and moved to Kasson, Minnesota when she was 8-years-old. There she grew up in the small town of Kasson and attended Kasson-Mantorville High School. Laura has known photography was something she had a passion for since she had asked her high school art teacher if she could take photography as an independent course since it was not offered in the art department. From there she knew she wanted to challenge herself more with photography and attended the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.

In Laura¹s third year at UWM she was required to come up with her own subject to photograph and was excited for the chance to pick her own subject, but it wasn¹t as easy as it sounded. The idea began with a manequin in a store window when she was driving around Milwaukee, looking for some kind of inspiration.

She photographed the manequin and then came to realize the reflection in the photograph was more interesting. She then decided to keep going with the idea in different cities, photographing in Chicago and Minneapolis/St. Paul. It has only taken off from there holding exhibits throughout Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Carolina. Including being a guest speaker for the Art Institute of Charlotte (2006) and The Young Affiliates of the Mint Museum in Charlotte (2007).

After graduation day she wanted to do something exciting and great for herself, so she decided to pick up and move to Charlotte, North Carolina to see what she could accomplish.
